NewCo is creating a leading global player in sustainable mobility.

In order to contribute to NewCo’s sustainable growth and profitable business, the Central LOD1 NFR & Compliance team has been created to provide an efficient and proportionate framework to enable the 1st Line of Defense to adequately identify, mitigate and monitor their non-financial risks on a day-to-day basis.

The LOD1 NFR & Compliance team also develop a continuous improvement process for the overall framework to ensure it remains fit for purpose overtime.

Within the NewCo, the Central LOD1 NFR & Compliance team oversee the global implementation, coordination, steering, and animation of (i) the identification and monitoring of operational risks (OR) and (ii) the Level 1 control framework that mitigates such risks. They are responsible for advising and supporting the Business and LOD1 managers who are ultimately accountable for the proper monitoring and mitigation of the operational risks of their activities. They aim at ensuring that the level of operational risks remain within the framework of NewCo’s risk appetite statement.

The Operational Risks team mainly ensure that all the frameworks and their supportive IT applications used for the identification and the monitoring of operational risks are up and running and in line with the NewCo policies in all concerned entities of the NewCo.

The main frameworks cover (i) Outsourced Services (ii) New Product & significant changes (iii) RCSA (iv) Incidents & Losses (v) Business Continuity Management (vii) KRIs including the Holding perimeter.

In this context, each Operational Risk Officer acts as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on one or more Operational Risks Framework(s) and supervises a group of regional LOD1 NFR & Compliance managers.

SPOC on Operational Risks frameworks:

  • Performs a continuous watch on the evolutions of the NewCo policies and IT applications.
  • Takes part to the relevant events organized by the 2nd line of defense (communications, user committees and/or UAT’s)
  •  Prepares global operational procedures to ensure constancy across the entities.
  •  Ensures that Business experts and actors are well identified, trained on their role(s), and onboarded in the OR applications workflows.
  • Ensures that the declarations and actions are correctly performed by the various actors. This implies data quality and respect of the deadlines.
  • Contributes to the Central LOD1 committees: ICCC, NPC, OS committees….
  • Contributes to the animation of the global LOD1 NFR & Compliance community to raise awareness, expertise, ensure the cohesion of the global framework and the alignment with the NewCo methodology.


Supervision of local entities

  • Ensures that Business experts and actors are well identified, trained on their role(s), and onboarded with the OR applications workflows.
  • Ensures that the declarations and actions are correctly performed by the various actors. This implies data quality and respect of the deadlines.
  • Oversees / supports/ challenges the LoD1 & NFR & Compliance teams in the regions and locally as needed.
  • Provide training and support for NFR tools used to manage the overall framework with LoD2.

Other

  • Contribute to the improvement of the data quality management.
  • Interacts with different stakeholders: Business experts, Central and Local LOD1 / LOD2, SG RISQ/NFR…

  • Proven ability to discuss with the business (adopting an independent partner posture, while understanding concerns)
  • Significant knowledge of the regulatory and risk environment in the financial sector or in a regulatory/supervisory control body
  • Autonomy, ability to make decisions, rigor.

  • Coordination, animation, convincing and motivating skills

  • Act with safety and sustainability
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in risk-related functions in an international context
  • Advanced usage of Excel is mandatory.
  • Fluent English required (French or Dutch would be a plus)
