The (Senior) Business Controller is responsible for delivering key insights from analysing profitability information and is able to convert these in actionable conclusions which can be shared with senior management.
The following core activities fit in the scope of the (Senior) Business Controller:
- Analyse, challenge and propose a decision regarding the pricing proposals that exceed local country mandates (approx. 400 per year) whilst ensuring sufficient quality standards.
- Act as a strategic partner of commercial teams for all international business proposals and tenders for both international customers and partners and establish an active collaboration and knowledge sharing community with local Pricing Managers.
- Execute business performance review based on financial reports on quotations, orders, contracts, or customer profitability, and discuss these with relevant (senior) stakeholders.
- Evaluate the quality of local pricing committee minutes submitted by countries and challenge the portfolio analysis and performance.

Required level of education and technical abilities :
- University degree, academic level (e.g.: Economics / business administration)
- Strong analytical skills proven by work-experience in the field of controlling, data-analytics, or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting or international financial reporting standards
- Structured thinker
- Organizational skills
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Proven ability to engage with and influence people and steer them towards results, without formal authority.
Required work experience :
- Business Controller: 5+ years of experience, of which minimum 3 years in financial services or automotive industry
- Senior Business Controller: 8+ years of experience of which minimum 5 years in financial services or automotive industry
- Experience in self-steered leading multi-national transformation / improvement projects
- Experience implementing management methodologies (e.g.: MBO / LEAN Six Sigma / PDCA) at other leading companies
Language requirements :
- English (Fluent, verbally and written)
Special remarks : Ability to travel to one of the two Global offices
