Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Provide integrated debt structuring / capital structure / rating advisory / acquisition & strategic finance / market access solutions to key clients of the Bank, in close connection with coverage and corporate finance teams

·       Originate and execute strategic & acquisition finance and/or rating advisory mandates on all aspects (marketing materials, credit process incl. ESG analysis, legal doc negotiation), in accordance with SG and AFG policies and guidelines

·       Lead rating advisory services and rating dialogue with clients, nurture close relationships with rating agencies

·       Generate business from its client portfolio - Ensure opportunities are relevant, resources are used efficiently\

·       Promote and contribute to AFG and IBD strategy

·       Assess feasibility of transactions/mandates, including underwriting and capital commitment, in light of available resources and profitability metrics

·       Supervise the production of documents supporting internal credit processes and act responsibly within agreed credit risk limits and other guidelines\

·       Report to AFG management and COO information related to ongoing transactions including permanent supervision, exposure management and escalate problems appropriately in a timely manner

·       Lead project teams - Ensure development of staff

·       In line with the Group's ambition, integrate GLBA's ESG strategy in (i) origination strategy by focusing on advisory and/or origination of transactions related to energy transition and other ESG key topics (e.g. nature, circular economy, adaptation) in line with client's key ESG challenges and (ii) the day-to-day management of business and client relationship management. This integration aims to better manage ESG-related risks and create future value/generate tomorrow’s opportunities\

Culture & Conduct

·       Demonstrate the adequate appropriation and continuous improvement on Culture & Conduct issues by (i) adhering to GLBA and compliance policies and procedures, and when interacting with external partners/vendors, customers, and colleagues and (ii) by identifying conduct risks and incidents and systematically processing their root causes, so as to prevent them in the future

·       Ensure that deadlines are met (incl. for mandatory trainings, controls performance and IGAD or regulatory recommendations) and that mandatory tasks are of high quality

·       Contribute to improving the data quality and ensure exhaustiveness,  accuracy and prompt update of data produced or owned on your perimeter (especially Transaction Check List, Financing Platform, OtD tool)

Profile required

·       Strong skills in debt and rating advisory and in corporate finance

·       Strong skills in the structuring of event-driven financing (acquisition, spin-off, IPO, leveraged finance...)

·       Good network/ connection with clients and rating agencies’ analysts and management

·       Strong commercial drive and client impact, putting client’s needs at the center

·       Strong skills in credit risk assessment and rating agencies methodologies (credit & ESG) and sector views

·       Strong capacity to lead teams and develop staff, strong soft skills

·       Innovative, driven by positive digital mindset

HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) certification is preferred
