Responsibilities

SGSS has been present in Italy since September 2006 through a dedicated Italian Bank, SGSS S.p.A., one of the main players in the Securities Services' industry that covers all SGSS businesses for its two segments of clients: Financial Institutions & Brokers and Asset Managers & Insurance. Thanks to over 500 employees based in Milan and Turin, SGSS S.p.A. ensures a daily support to over 300 clients. Our clients are institutional investors (insurance companies and pension funds), asset managers, financial intermediaries (brokers, investments companies).

This is a fixed-term position lasting 12 months.

Desired start date : as soon as possible

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for performing all Depositary Bank oversight duties on client portfolio (Alternative Investment Funds) assigned, in accordance with applicable regulation and internal policies.
  • Be able to build strong customer relationships with existing and new clients and external providers to gain accuracy in NAV verification, monitoring investment restrictions and participants management
  • Be in charge of collection and review of relevant documents and ensures ownership chain giving regular feedback and escalating without delay issues and risks identified
  • Be also involved on setting-up new funds in the internal control environment in accordance with Risk approved Model applied by Depositary Bank

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics
  • At least one year experience in Nav&limits verification with focus on Alternatives Funds

Language skills:

  • Advanced/native level of Italian (C2)
  • Fluent in English (C1)
  • Intermediate in French (B1)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Good knowledge of the current regulatory framework
  • Good knowledge of the major office automation applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Autonomy and result orientation
  • Capacity to identify operational risks.
