Responsibilities

Program Structure

You will be part of the Global Markets group which brings together the Equities, Fixed Income & Currencies capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team.

You will take on twenty-four-month placement within the Equity Derivatives Sales team.

Your will be assigned to the head of EQD Sales for the allocation of set tasks and projects designed to enhance your understanding of SG’s products and clientele alongside the market’s product suite and services.

For daily functions you will also work across the complete EQD Sales functions supporting as a sales assistant on a selective basis. You will be assigned to assist and cover within one of various teams across Execution sales, Platform sales and relationship management, Flow Derivatives sales, Transition management, Cross Asset listed sales, corporate commodity sales and the strategic transactions sales group as best fits he firms requirements. You will be benchmarked on this select teams KPIs and yearly deliverables which you will employ more bandwidth within for the duration of the program.

You will be exposed to as sales assistant to

  • The different types of clienteles (Hedge Funds, Corporates, asset managers, Professional trading groups, corporate, investment banks) 
  • The many different asset classes (Fixed Income, Credit, FX, Cash Equity, Equity Derivatives, listed unlisted). 
  • The various product types and services on offer (clearing, execution, structuring, listed and unlisted products, derivatives, cash equity, OTC linear and none liner products, leveraged products)

Profile required

We are looking for exceptional university graduates with the following attributes and competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited university with excellent academic results 
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with less than one year’s working experience after graduation
  • Passionate for a long-term career development in the banking industry
  • Strong leadership potential and interpersonal skills
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Superior analytical, critical-thinking and communications skills
  • Self-motivated, mature, and possessing a strong drive for excellence
  • Open to different ideas and cultures and enjoy being part of a team
  • Ability to solve problems and propose new ideas
  • Good coding skills (for example VBA and/or Python) is a plus
  • Strong attitude and aptitude to new work situations
  • Excellent command of English
