Analyst, Structured Finance Middle Office - Agency & Transaction Management

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for middle office functions supporting Structured Finance business lines with a focus on energy, real estate, shipping, aircraft and export financing.
• Perform agency and credit administration functions and effectively manage ongoing lifecycle events of structured finance transactions.
• Handle tasks such as waivers, amendments, defaults etc. in the capacity of a Facility Agent with the syndicated lenders/investors.
• Support the operational aspects of loan activities such as deal set-up, closing, drawdown, amendments, payments, pre-payments and sell-downs together with our back office team in Bangalore.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (such as front office, risk and compliance, back office and finance) to ensure transactions are smooth during the lifecycle of the loan.
• Work closely with our stakeholders to ensure a strong operational control framework.              
• Contribute towards various portfolio management reporting tasks (ad hoc client requests, specific request for internal partners, scarce resource management, local reporting).

• Bachelor degree, preferably with a financial background
• 2 years with an investment / commercial bank, or similar financial institution role with support function experience. Fresh graduate with a strong aptitude will also be considered.
• Strong proficiency (native or near-native) in Japanese language (written and spoken) required.
• Business proficiency in English (written and spoken) required.
• Able to learn quickly and work well in a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with internal and external parties for all topics and at all levels

The Structured Finance Middle Office team works on the middle office activities for the structured finance transactions within the Global Banking & Advisory business (GLBA). Structured Finance covers various sectors including energy, metals and mining, infrastructure, shipping, real estate, aircraft and export financing. The Middle Office team in Asia covers the full APAC scope including Australia/New Zealand, Hong Kong/China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, and other South-East Asia locations.
