Ihre Aufgaben

As an Associate you will work in German M&A team directly with senior bankers in country, industry and coverage teams on the origination and execution of investment banking mandates. This includes a wide variety of tasks, such as financial statement analysis, financial modeling, company and industry research, preparation of client presentations, deal documentations, etc.

The German M&A-Team advises major clients on their strategic analysis and execution of M&A transactions, considering the relevant legal structures and potential capital market consequences.

Depending on the level of experience a candidate already has, he/she will be involved/lead in the below tasks with an increasing level of responsibility:

·        Involved in industry and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation analysis (using a variety of techniques), financial modelling and financing capacity of buyers

·        Involved in the preparation of presentations for clients and potential investors

·        Keep up to date about M&A, as well as equity and debt related issues

Strong involvement in day-to-day project executions, including leadership of specific project tasks and work streams:

·        Support preparation of marketing materials / analysis of marketing materials

·        Assist in developing transaction structures and in process management

·        Valuation and financial modelling and carrying out of due diligence

·        Managing effectively, as well as training and coaching of analysts and interns

Ihr Profil

Experience and Technical Skills:

·        Very good Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Engineering

·        Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in investment banking / corporate finance with a focus on M&A origination and execution; direct experience with transactions in German-speaking region, an advantage

·        Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills

·        Very strong technical / analytical skills

·        Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Power Point and Word

·        Good command of Bloomberg / Capital IQ / Thomson Reuters

·        Fluent in German and English, basic understanding of French is a plus but not required
