Autonomous US Credit Salesperson


Responsibilities
We are looking for an Institutional Credit Salesperson to join our Autonomous US sales team in New York. Autonomous is one of the leading financial services research offerings globally, with our team of more than 35 publishing analysts around the world following almost 300 financial sector companies.
This is an exciting time to join the team and assist with a new product launch within an established senior team. Autonomous is launching a US Financials Credit product and we are looking for a senior salesperson to join the team and market the product to institutional clients across North America. In this role you will be responsible for building out the client base by identifying, qualifying and opening new account relationships and managing those relationships on an on-going basis.
To succeed in this role you will require a thorough comprehension of our investment research and Analyst recommendations to build credibility and add value to our client’s investment process. This requires a significant amount of study, a keen understanding of market context and the ability to interpret our research for our clients. Clients expect salespeople who can form an intellectual bridge between our research and the client’s mandate. As the main contact for the US credit research product you will own the overall relationship with clients. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive sales strategies utilizing research, conferences and other marketing events to drive revenues.

Profile required
Ideal candidates should have:
Basic Qualifications
· 6-8 years of professional sales experience in fixed income including but not limited to: professional sales roles, including financial services, technology and other fields; management consulting, investor relations and banking
· A track record demonstrating exceptional sales ability and proven skills in building relationships to drive revenue
· Extensive client relationship building and interaction at senior levels of the client’s organization
· Acumen for the financial markets and the drive to excel at the highest level
· Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and are detail-oriented
· A strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in sales at a sell side firm is preferred
