Bernstein Operations – Middle Office Analyst


Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated analyst for the Operations department of our U.S. broker-dealer. This role is vital for enhancing our broker-dealer operations processes including trade monitoring, trade allocation, confirmation, fail management, and account onboarding, by providing support for internal and external clients. Our team utilizes a customer service philosophy to provide added value to the institutional brokerage services provided to our clients’ trade flow.
The ideal candidate would possess strong analytical skills and is able to collaborate with all levels of cross-functional Bernstein stakeholders, including C-suite senior management. As a Broker-Dealer Operations Analyst, you will:
· Provide operational support of the Cash Equity, Program and Algo Trading desks
· Trade allocation, confirmation, escalation, and trade break resolution
· Manage referential data used in onboarding client, broker & sub-accounts in operations and trading systems
· Interact with traders, institutional counterparties and with internal teams in Compliance, Technology to perform shared and independent functions
· Monitor exception queues to ensure trading activities are processing efficiently
· Prompt monitoring of group mailbox and telephone support line
· Participate in cross training across operations
· Escalate issues to management and stakeholders in a timely manner

Profile required
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree (preferably in finance related field)
· Exceptional skills in Excel and PowerPoint
· Well-organized with the ability to prioritize workloads depending on delivery timelines
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Collaborative team-player
· Outstanding communication skills
· Positive, proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
Preferred Qualifications
· 1-3 years of broker-dealer operations experience
· Experience within pressured environment to meet deadlines and provide positive service delivery
· Comfort with ambiguity and a strong passion for problem-solving
· Proven ability to work in a global organization
· Interest in new technologies and a desire to explore their applications in enhancing workflow efficiencies.
