Bernstein Senior Research Associate: U.S. Communications Infrastructure

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join Bernstein’s premier Equity Research team covering U.S. Communications Infrastructure.  If you’re passionate about research and interested in building a long-term career in the investing world, there’s no better place to start and develop than Bernstein.

We are seeking a candidate who loves to solve complex problems, get to heart of issues, and dive deep into creative fundamental analyses - someone who will be excited to join an energetic team.

As the U.S. Communications Infrastructure Senior Research Associate, you will:

·       Become a sector specialist working one-on-one with a Senior Analyst who has 10-15 years of prior industry experience in consulting and industry management roles

·       Drive in-depth analysis of your companies, stocks, and industry themes, including financial forecasting and detailed forward-looking models

·       Author highly differentiated written research that is famous for its deep industry insights and quantitative frameworks

·       Develop creative approaches to answer nuanced questions, finding novel data and quantifying the unquantifiable

·       Build strong relationships across the investing community including with our sales and trading teams and institutional clients

·       Build a network within your industry including senior management of your companies

·       Act as team COO and actively manage your franchise’s workflow

The Sector

U.S. Communications Infrastructure encompasses data centers, cell towers, fiber, satellite, and affiliated subsectors.  Situated at the nexus of technology, real estate, and energy, it is the physical world that powers the internet.

Data centers are among the buzziest companies of the last few years, particularly as AI demand and investment levels have soared.  Some of the most highly anticipated Equity Capital Market (ECM) activity is likely to be in this sector. Understanding this coverage is a major priority for long-only and hedge fund clients alike.

The Bernstein U.S. Communications Infrastructure Team is coming to this coverage area with a fresh lens while leveraging the foundation of one of the strongest tech teams on the street.  It’s an exciting place to be!

Qualifications

For our Senior Research Associate roles, we look for candidates with thought leadership, intellectual breadth, quantitative rigor and a differentiated approach to solving problems. We carefully consider your academic background as well as any prior work experience for evidence of the following:
