Business Analyst – M/F/D
Responsibilities
Join our data-centric team at SG Group’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division, working at the heart of the information system. We are responsible for building the new data platform that supports various business processes and interacts with multiple stakeholders. Our team is dedicated to implementing data solutions using the latest big data technologies to support structured finance activities within the GLBA business line.
As a Business Analyst based in Warsaw, Poland, you will collaborate with teams in Bangalore (India) and Paris (France) to analyze business needs, support technical projects, and contribute to the development of our data platform.
Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
- Analyzing business needs based on priorities set by the Product Owner.
- Studying the impacts of business needs by evaluating options, risks, and costs.
- Assisting the Product Owner and team in breaking down needs into detailed user stories.
- Translating business needs into user stories and maintaining a clear and understandable backlog.
- Supporting the team’s understanding of business processes with guidance from the Product Owner.
- Understanding technical constraints and actively participating in product design.
- Collaborating continuously with stakeholders (POs, BAs, developers) and advising team members on functional aspects.
- Contributing to functional architecture decisions under the guidance of the architect.
- Providing training and assistance to team members in resolving functional issues.
- Conducting testing activities, including defining test strategies and executing test plans.
- Designing test cases, test plans, and test data while ensuring best practices.
- Working closely with developers in test execution (manual or automated) within development practices (BDD/TDD).
- Supporting deployment with functional prerequisites and post-deployment checks.
- Integrating and applying Agile Scrum methodology and participating in Agile ceremonies.
- Contributing to production monitoring, handling user requests, and analyzing production errors for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring implemented solutions meet business requirements while adhering to Société Générale standards and best practices.
Profile required
You will be best suited for this role if You have:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the banking sector.
- Fluency in English (Polish and French are considered an advantage).
- Strong SQL skills (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience with collaborative tools such as JIRA.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- A proactive and assertive mindset with a strong team spirit.
- Ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.
- Autonomy and results-oriented approach.
- A positive and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
