Business Analyst with French
Responsibilities
The role is positioned within the Credit Approval and PRO/ENT Pre-Sales perimeter, supporting a portfolio of legacy banking applications used for credit and pre-sales activities. The scope is primarily RUN-oriented, with a strong focus on daily production monitoring, user assistance, incident follow-up, and continuity of service, while also contributing to evolutionary maintenance and change activities when required.
We are looking for a Business Analyst with a multi-hat profile combining Business Analysis, Project Management follow-up, and QA/acceptance testing responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders located in France. The role is expected to secure production stability, testing continuity, and functional support across 11 legacy applications and 26 subsystems, including critical applications
How you will make an impact:
Act primarily as a Business Analyst, with extended competencies in coordination and acceptance testing to support functional analysis and operational follow-up across legacy credit applications.
Ensure daily RUN activities, including production monitoring, Level 3 functional support, incident and anomaly follow-up, and direct interaction with users to secure continuity of service.
Support evolutionary maintenance and change activities on the application portfolio, while recognizing that RUN, assistance, and production stability represent the main part of the workload.
Analyze business needs related to credit approval and pre-sales processes and translate them into functional specifications, impact analyses, test plans, and validation documentation.
Produce and maintain detailed functional specifications, test plans, validation reports, incident reports, and anomaly follow-up documentation.
Coordinate follow-up actions, priorities, risks, dependencies, and operational decisions, mainly through direct communication and email-based exchanges rather than heavy use of Agile tooling.
Define and execute acceptance testing activities, validate test results, follow anomalies, and ensure testing continuity on critical legacy applications.
Work closely with business users, IT stakeholders, support teams, and application contributors to clarify incidents, validate solutions, and maintain service quality.
Ensure continuity and backup capacity for critical support and validation activities, reducing the risk of degraded production quality and slower incident response.
Profile required
What you bring:
Consistent experience as an IT Business Analyst in a banking environment, ideally with knowledge of credit processes and banking/credit application maintenance.
Ability to operate in a multi-role setup covering business analysis, project coordination, production support, and QA/acceptance testing responsibilities.
Good understanding of credit approval, lending, pre-sales, credit lifecycle, leasing, guarantees, authorizations, renewals, and related banking concepts.
Experience working with legacy applications, multiple subsystems, interfaces, and complex application portfolios, ideally in a production support and maintenance context.
Strong capability to write functional specifications, test plans, validation reports, incident documentation, and clear operational follow-up materials.
Comfortable coordinating activities through email-based follow-up and direct stakeholder communication; exposure to Agile tools such as JIRA is useful but not central to the role.
High level of autonomy, ownership, rigor, organization, and reliability in managing RUN priorities, production issues, testing cycles, and dependencies.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with business users, clarify incidents, align IT contributors, and support operational decisions in a production-sensitive context.
Fluency in French is mandatory, both written and spoken, with the ability to participate in French-only meetings and interact directly with French-speaking business users and stakeholders.
Fluent in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international IT environment.
Nice to have:
Previous exposure to legacy credit approval or pre-sales applications, including IDCE, ILEASE, FastCredit, or similar banking platforms.
Experience with medium-sized enterprises or corporate banking credit processes is a plus.
Previous experience in production support, Level 3 functional support, incident management, or user assistance on critical banking applications.
Experience coordinating acceptance testing, validation reporting, anomaly follow-up, or operational readiness activities.
