Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets integrates research, execution, risk management, and multi-asset structuring capabilities to deliver client-focused market solutions. The Front Office Controls & AI Transformation Officer will partner with Global Markets stakeholders to strengthen the Front Office control environment, support regulatory and risk management initiatives, and drive operational excellence through data-driven insights, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. Combining expertise in risk, controls, and technology, the role focuses on enhancing supervisory processes, optimizing workflows, and delivering scalable solutions that improve efficiency, governance, and business value.

This role sits at the intersection of Front Office supervision, risk and controls, process optimization, data analytics, automation, and AI enablement. The successful candidate will help translate business needs into practical, scalable, and controlled solutions while ensuring that AI and automation are used responsibly, securely, and within the Bank’s risk appetite.

The role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, front-office control frameworks, operational risk, regulatory expectations, and data-driven transformation. Experience with AI-enabled projects, automation initiatives, Python scripting, data engineering, dashboards, or process improvement will be a strong advantage.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the evolution of Front Office supervision and controls through the application of artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision making.

  • Transform traditional control processes into intelligent, scalable, and technology-enabled supervisory frameworks.

  • Leverage Generative AI, workflow automation, Python, APIs, and analytics solutions to improve control execution, exception management, reporting, and operational efficiency.

  • Develop AI-driven insights and dashboards that enhance risk identification, trend analysis, and management oversight.

  • Identify and implement innovative AI use cases across supervision, controls, governance, regulatory reporting, and operational risk management.

  • Ensure AI-enabled solutions align with governance standards, regulatory requirements, security expectations, and responsible AI principles.

  • Act as a key liaison between business, risk, compliance, operations, technology, and data teams to accelerate AI adoption while maintaining a strong control environment.

Profile required

Must have:

  • Knowledge of Global Markets products (Equities and Fixed Income) and front-office control frameworks.

  • Experience with data analytics, reporting, and dashboard tools (Power BI etc.).

  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, APIs, automation tools, and AI/Generative AI solutions.

  • Understanding of risk, governance, and regulatory requirements within a financial services environment.

  • 5+ years of experience in Global Markets, Front Office Controls, Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, COO, or related functions.

  • Experience driving process improvement, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across Trading, Sales, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Data teams.

Nice to have:

  • Professional certifications (CORM, PRM, CAMS, CFA, FRM) are an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant postgraduate degree or specialization in Financial Markets, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or Risk Management is an asset. Knowledge of Global Markets products (Equities and Fixed Income)

LANGUAGE:  Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
