Business Management Officer (Associate)
Responsibilities

Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. This position is integral to a dynamic team that bridges trading, sales, risk management, and technical development within Global Markets. The role focuses on enhancing trading and sales efficiency, ensuring robust risk and compliance management, driving process improvements through automation, and leading projects with clear, effective communication. The team works closely with front office stakeholders to deliver value-added solutions, streamline workflows, and maintain high standards of operational and conduct risk controls.
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Trading / Sales efficiency and value creation
- Collaborate with trading & sales teams to understand their needs and provide tailored support solutions including but not limited to increased use of Coalition Data.
- Liaise with trading teams to facilitate effective communication and resolve any issues related to trade execution and client inquiries.
- Assist trading & sales personnel by providing market insights and data analysis to enhance their trading / sales strategies and client interactions.
- Oversee the trading & sales processes to ensure timely and effective service delivery to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with trading desks to ensure alignment on product offerings and client requirements, ensuring that sales teams are well-informed.
- Provide training and resources to trading & sales staff on new products and tools to enhance their effectiveness in the market.
Risk Management and Compliance efficiency
- Ensure compliance with organizational risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor risk exposure and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Execution and streamlining of front office controls, supporting overall operational/conduct risk management in the front office through daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual BAU responsibilities.
Process Improvement and Technical Development
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within Organizational Risk Management and Sales Support functions.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency (using Python and leveraging on low code/no code internal solutions).
- Develop and automate complex workflows and systems using Python or leveraging SG tools to streamline IT processes and infrastructure management.
- Demonstrate expertise on business processes, life cycles, and data drivers.
Project Management and Communication Skills
- Responsible for project planning, work product quality, project execution.
- Communicate with excellence, upstream and downstream, complex ideas verbally and through documentation.
Profile required
Skills and Qualifications:
Must Haves:
- Product Knowledge: Familiarity with the features, benefits, and risks associated with various Global Markets products (Equity and Fixed Income).
- Project Management: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Frameworks: Familiarity with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Python: Strong proficiency in scripting and automation tasks.
- SQL: proficiency in SQL (MSSQL, posgre).
- API: consuming API’s such as RESTFul APIs, Knowledge in no code/low code platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
Competencies:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including trading, sales, risk management, and compliance.
Languages: French and English
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
