Responsibilities

FFC (Fixed income Forex and Commodities in is a division of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) for Société Générale. FFC mission is to manage booking, pricing, contribution and front to back activities for Fixed Income, Currencies and commodities products.

Within FFC, the Deal Processing division is in charge of the development and maintenance of front-to-back trading application called X-One, used for negotiation, booking, workflow/event. Application is used on a daily basis by Traders, Sales, Middle & Back officers. X-One meets strong performance and quality constraints.

C# Developer can work on all tasks within the technical environment. It can go from the business need analysis to the production delivery, going through the design of the user-oriented solution, the technical development, tests, and deployment.

You will be part of an extended feature team between France and Poland, where software engineers will share a common backlog of tasks.

The application use C#, .Net 4.8, netstandard 2.0 and netcoreapp3.1, Winforms, WCF, WebAPI (N-tier Architecture) technologies, Oracle and Sybase Database.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Working in team-oriented environment, developing and supporting features in a functional applicative chain
  • BUILDING, DELIVERING and RUNNING the application
  • Using Agile concepts for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting X-ONE application software that is delivered on time and within budget
  • Developing software using Craftsmanship best practices (such as Behavior Driven Development, Test Driven Development, continuous integration, legacy refactoring, and continuous delivery)
  • Developing software in a complex technological ecosystem, with the ability to understand and deliver code on various technical environments.
  • Writing unit tests, reviewing the code to be delivered and helping the global team on non-regression testing
  • Proposing recommendations for process improvement
  • Giving clear and consistent reports to the clients and management
  • Ensuring the alignment with the guidelines and practices from the chapter
  • Following SG policies and procedures like change management, project governance and software configuration management
  • Providing production support for existing application feature

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant technical field
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in .NET Framework and .NET Core development (.Net framework 4.8, netstandard 2.0 and .netcore6, Winforms, WCF, WebAPI)
  • Experience in Agile, TDD and Continuous Delivery (Jira, Git/Github, Jenkins)

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English
  • Intermediate in Polish
  • French would be an asset

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Knowledge of Database / SQL (preferably Oracle or Sybase)
  • Knowledge of Windows servers
  • Ability to work in an international and distributed team environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
