Responsibilities

Liquidity Reporting production is responsible for producing, reconciling and distributing Daily/Weekly/Monthly liquidity reports to SG’s ALM and RISK teams as well as senior management and regulators.  This team produces both liquidity risk reporting and credit RWA (Risk Weighted Asset) risk/accounting reconciliations.  The unit has four primary functions in that there are a dedicated daily reporting team including daily funding dashboard, a liquidity stress testing team, a 2052a regulatory reporting team and an RWA risk/reconciliation team.  It includes daily weekly and monthly reporting on liquidity funding and liquidity stress testing and various other funding flow snapshots, as well as a quarterly RWA risk/accounting reconciliation. System integration includes account conversion for back-office systems. In addition, the team interfaces with regulators and business support for reviews, examinations, and reporting requirement changes.  This role serves as a dedicated resource to support production of the 2052a report and RWA risk/accounting. This role serves as a dedicated resource focused on control framework and data control reconciliation for the respective reports as well as across the liquidity reports.

  • Maintain various reporting controls on data quality and model behavior.
  • Serves as key oversight function to reporting production and data quality review.
  • Work on control framework projects on Balance Sheet reconciliation and reconciliation to the GL/back-office data.
  • Work on production issues including system feed issues, manual adjustments and follow up data enhancements with system projects.
  • Participate in projects, business line initiatives and new product implementations.
  • Assist in regulator reviews and internal audit reviews.
  • Participate in projects of system automations and enhancements, and model user-acceptance-testing (UAT).
  • Work on short term solutions to stabilize data reporting by use of excel or other tools (e.g., Alteryx), to facilitate reporting needs.
  • Utilize knowledge of financial products (derivatives, equity and fixed income securities, currencies, structured products, deferred commission assets, commodities, commercial paper, private equity, and hedges).
  • Interface with the Data Governance & Standards Officer for updates to standards, policy, and procedures

The Finance Department of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) is a global organization with a local presence. Our core mission in the Americas involves delivering sound financial reports, supporting Business Units, Service Units and General Management with financial and strategic steering, effectively scrutinize business plans, and offering good advice on the efficient use of our capital, liquidity, and funding resources. The Finance Department performs independent certification of all financial aggregates and creates the daily P&L explanation on market activities. In addition, our robust teams also oversee and execute cross-business projects in the financial and regulatory areas of the industry by providing expertise on accounting, prudential and tax norms while ensuring compliance.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong accounting and finance background and experience in Liquidity reporting including Liquidity stress testing, FR2052a reporting – and products and processes associated with a Broker Dealer.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Product knowledge in Broker Dealers --- derivatives, loans, funding vehicles, currencies, fixed income, equity securities and commodities.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting in liquidity risk management, stress testing and other relevant compliance requirements (e.g., SR11-7) a plus
  • Strong Excel skills, Alteryx a plus
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with aggressive deadlines.

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
