Responsibilities

The Compliance Department is looking for a Compliance professional at the Associate level to support the Compliance Governance and Reporting team, with a focus on Issues & Breach Management (inclusive of Customer Complaints) topics. This individual will assist the team in gathering and optimizing business intelligence and creating presentations for senior management in the department. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, versatile and enthusiastic self-starter, as the role requires interaction with various stakeholders throughout the business and support functions, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently. The candidate must have strong attention to detail, analytical skills and be practical and proactive in understanding how Firm business practices, operations, and processes operate and evolve.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·       Prepare presentations and reports for senior Compliance management relating to Compliance issues and breaches as well as other Governance & Reporting forums.

·       Support stakeholders with managing and tracking issues throughout their lifecycle from detection, system entry, escalation, status tracking, extension requirements, and closure.

·       Assist with oversight of the SGUS Customer Complaint Framework, inclusive of tracking and managing customer complaints.

·       Support stakeholders with managing and tracking breaches throughout their lifecycle from detection, system entry, escalation, status tracking, and closure, inclusive of drafting and socializing breach correspondence and disciplinary letters as well as satisfying various ad hoc requests.

·       Gather and report on management metrics covering issues, breaches, customer complaints, etc.

·       Perform controls related to issues, breaches, customer complaints, etc.

·       Perform data analytics, root cause analysis, and trend analysis with respect to Compliance issues and breaches.

·       Support and participate in Committees with oversight coverage of the preceding topics.

·       Help with maintaining governance documentation such as Charters, Policies, Procedures related to Issue & Breach Management and Governance & Reporting.

·       Assist with the drafting and maintenance of team operating procedures and training materials.

·       Support both “Run the Bank” and “Change the Bank” processes in addition to work on special ad hoc projects.

·       Facilitate updates and propose enhancements to Compliance Issues and Breach management and Governance & Reporting activities.

·       Basic understanding of Risk Management in financial services.

·       Analytical capability: Able to break down complex problems into simple manageable units, develop solutions for each unit, and integrate them back into the whole. Can absorb ideas quickly and apply then pragmatically.

·       Results oriented: Sets goals and priorities that maximize the use of resources available to consistently deliver quality results.

·       Strong interpersonal effectiveness: Self-aware of their own behavior and work style, as well as tolerant of different needs and viewpoints.

·       Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and be able to relay complex technical concepts to non-technical audience.

·       Leadership: Create an inspiring vision, set direction and motivate others to follow that direction and reach that vision.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

·       Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·       Excellent writing skills

·       Exceptional attention to detail

·       Experience with AI tools is a plus

·       Bachelors Degree

LANGUAGE: 

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
