Responsibilities

 Daily Operations / Monthly / Quarterly / Half yearly activities / Yearly activities:

a.       Responsible for seamless timely delivery of day-to-day operations and ensure accuracy of financials across regions

b.       Responsible to ensure no unjustified aged items in accordance with AOC policy and other group policies across regions

c.        Ensure DN’s (Debit Note) are processed on time and with good quality (From receipt until settlement)

d.       Ensure Balance certification (L1/L2 as per regional scope) is completed accurately on time as per regional standards

e.       Ensure smooth Month end closing:

1.       Computation & posting of manual journals

2.       Validation and posting of manual journals

3.       Clearing of Suspense accounts/tech RC’s etc.

4.       Run Auto-accrual, EOD jobs (End of Day)

5.       Run Revaluation jobs

6.       Perform Pre-closure checks

7.       Confirm for books closure

8.       FA Accounting (Addition/Transfer/Disposal/Depreciation close/3- way reconciliation)

9.       Rollover of balances (Year-end)

10.    Publishing Year end close calendar across regions (Year-end)

Control & Reporting activities:

f.         Ensure 100% adherence of the team to the SOP (standard operating procedure)/AOC (ACCOUNT OWNERSHIP & CERTIFICATION) policy/Other relevant Policies and ensure regular updations of SOP’s

g.       Ensure all process documents/SOP’s are updated on a timely manner

h.       Responsible to prepare, validate and present the monthly governance deck/QBR deck/I2C deck and perform checks to ensure the accuracy of the data

i.         Declare all supervision controls/Morse controls on time and explain to senior management in case of any exceptions & anomalies

j.         Manage the I2C declarations on time as defined per quarter

k.        Ensure all reports and trackers are updated on a daily/monthly/quarterly basis. Perform daily control of the same & discuss with team members regularly

l.         To be able to deliver strong controls around the process as well as around the procedure documents

m.     Perform existing month end controls checks

n.       Ensure all actions implemented based on audit recommendations are respected and adhered to without any misses


Training related activities :

 

o.       Handhold the new joiners in the team, monitor the training/KT and provide them with adequate support

p.       Ensure training plan is in place for all the KT sessions.

q.       Training recording files to be made available all activities across entities

Cross/Inter functional activities:

r.        Liaise with the first, second and third line of Control functions of the organization ORM, CTL, IGAAD etc.

s.        Support yearly internal/statutory audit

t.        Handle customer queries (emails & calls) and ensure customer delight

u.       To be the first point of escalation & communicating to client of any queries and ensure end results are achieved

v.        Conduct regular reviews with counterparts to discuss operational issues, challenges, enhancements etc.

w.      The candidate should closely work with the cross functional teams, onshore and offshore delivery centers for smooth service delivery, transitions/migration

x.        Liaise with other functions of PTP and CFT and other DFIN teams where necessary to discuss upstream issues and agree on controls to mitigate issues

Standardization, Simplification, Automation activities

y.        Contribute and provide expertise on initiatives around Operational Excellence (Standardization, Simplification and Automation)

z.        All Alteryx use cases identified to be implemented

People management related activities :

aa.    Leading, supervising, and monitoring team members

bb.    Setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback

cc.     Conducting daily scrums

dd.    Conducting appraisals, constructive feedback and addressing underperformance

ee.    Fostering a positive work environment

ff.       Organizing team building activities

gg.    Identify skill gaps and organizing upskilling programs

hh.    Managing shift schedules and back up planning

ii.        Ensuring employees understand and adhere to SOP’s

Education Qualification:

B.COM graduate and MBA would be an added advantage

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE (Years):

11-12

Profile required

11-12 yeas of General accounting experience

Masters or equivalent educational qualification

Incumbent should carry below Competencies -
