Consultant Software Engineer - Production Support
Responsibilities
• Analyze, plan and develop project requirements/standards in the assigned projects.
• Analyze and report process data to recommend any improvements required.
• Develop protocols for new processes and projects.
• Facilitate handover of projects to Operations team.
• Perform cost benefit analysis on technology stack and infrastructure.
Lead the impact analysis of all new features and enhancements.
Identify methods to sustain and improve various craftsmanship areas.
Lead the timely delivery of assigned artifacts with defined quality parameters.
Ensure quality of code, constantly.
Automate manual tasks of application maintenance and support to improve efficiency.
Lead initiatives of application modernization.
Ensure constant review and update of Agile and DevOps practices.
Constantly learn new/emerging technologies and mentor teams.
Monitor the overall production processes such as daily checks, open tickets and aging of issues.
Collaborate with customers, partners, development teams, chapter and feature teams.
Co-ordinate with development team and implement audit recommendations.
Lead DevOps chapters and Guilds.
Complete the assigned learning path and contribute to daily meetings.
Guide the team on data processing solutions and building data pipelines.
Identify new areas of technology and use cases for data validation and implementation.

Technical Skill
• Excellent understanding of cloud native architecture with proven experience in at least one cloud platform
• Understands and makes well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in their area; able to work in other areas of the codebase with guidance
• Doesn't fail while debugging
• Propose ideas on cost reduction, innovation, and modernization
• Contribute to hiring, retaining talent and mentoring
• Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our infrastructure, and our build system, including maven, Jenkins, and git
Core Activities
• Persistent in the face of roadblocks; dispatches them efficiently, pulling in others as necessary
• Requires minimal direction/oversight
• Takes the initiative to fix issues before being assigned them. Seeks empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests, and external research
• Delivers complex products to QA that they believe are well-baked and bug-free
• Communicates technical decisions through design docs, tech talks, and the wiki
• Mentor junior engineers via pairing, design review, and code review. Contributes frequently to Drinks and Demos
• Communicates effectively cross functions; can work well with Product, Design, Analytics, etc., as necessary
• Proactively identifies problems with requirements (lack of clarity, inconsistencies, technical limitations) for their own work and adjacent work and communicates these issues early to help course correct
Profile required
• End-to-end responsibility on projects of increasing complexity; contributes to common code
• Looks at test cases and advises QA on adjacent code/regression impact
• Understands the business supported by their Pillar or the Pillars they support
• Partners with product and analytics and drive requirements that consider all parties' needs
• Possesses empathy with the user of the software they are producing and uses that empathy to guide decision-making
• Identifies problems/risks of own work and others
