Consultant System Engineer - ACI COE
Responsibilities
Relevant experience: 10-15 years
- Primary Skills – Expert in on Datacenter Network with product experience on Cisco ACI,
- Able to help with Deploy and Troubleshoot above technologies without any supervision .
- Experience in working on heterogeneous network with managing various technologies .
- Able to Train Junior members in the team
- Proficient on DC deployment with VRF , MPLS , VXLAN, Cisco Nexus and routing Protocol .
- Expert on BGP and OSPF Routing protocols
- Troubleshooting skills on Production issues using Various tools – Splunk , Netflow , Debugging of network logs
- Review Network standards and recommend new hardware standards on Datacenter networking
- Plan, design, and document ACI architecture and deploy automated templates (with zero touch provisioning) to all locations.
- Configure security zones & VRF’s to control the traffic on ACI.
- Developing, implementing, and deploying ACI, NDO, NDI, Multipod and VXLAN
- Providing support and troubleshooting technical issues
- Creating and following ACI implementation plans
- participate in other next-gen technical project delivery
- Work with cross functional team for solution development and training and knowledge sharing
- Acts a single point of Technical contact during Technical Escalation Management
- Practices to make devices & operations more efficient
- Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, network designs, and network deployments using new products and feature.
- Overall responsibility of expert level for technical support (Incident, Problem, Critical Changes)
- Good to moderate knowledge on IP Networking CCNA /CCNP, Routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP)
- Experience in planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
- Good communication skills
- Take the lead in outage calls
- Own and drive root cause and permanent resolution
- Perform moderate network changes
- CCNA /CCNP, Routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLAN, Trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP)
- Experience in planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
- Review network design and provide recommendation on Low Level Designs and configuration standards
- Able to debug production issues
- Scripting knowledge using Python or Ansible
- Able to lead production issues and manage issues with large senior stakeholders
Day to day work:
- Review the existing process and update it for being more autonomous.
- Propose new process and create new documentations.
- Define improvement plan: how to decrease number of alarm and escalations.
- Deal with Paris NRE TEAM to have approval or be autonomous on the resolution of the incident / alarms.
- Give an improvement plan for reducing number of tickets escalated to Paris team.
