Consultant Technical Lead - Database Administrator for Mainframe
Responsibilities
We are looking for a DB2 Database Administrator on a Mainframe environment with 10+ years of experience
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure service continuity within the Development environment.
· Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of tool configurations.
· Collaborate closely with development chapter members and feature teams, providing a "DB2 for ZOS" expertise and support to developers.
· Develop and maintain DB2 SG internal tools.
· Monitor and support the implementation of recommendations in development environment.
· Provide support for new features of DB2 product, including test, validation, documentation and promotion.
· Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
· Optimize SQL queries and improve application performance.
· Work closely with Production DBAs (GTE) to validate implementations, share feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement.
· Produce and maintain DB2 documentation (best practices, quick guides).
Profile required
Technical Skills & Expertise
· Knowledge in data modeling
· Recognized as a technical expert and point of reference for DB2-related topics.
· Experience supporting developers throughout design and development phases to ensure secure and optimized DB2 access.
· Expertise in SQL optimization and performance tuning (Run an EXPLAIN and master how to interpret it).
· At least 10+ year experience with DB2 for ZOS (Experience as a DBA in production environment would be an advantage)
· Tools : PLATINUM, Mainview, Strobe.

· Experience in change management and user support.
· Ability to provide support to developers.
· Strong pedagogical approach with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
