Consultant Technical Lead - Microsoft SharePoint
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1) SharePoint Online Architecture & Strategy (Primary)

- Establish governance automation (provisioning, standards, naming, site templates) with PnP/PowerShell/Graph.
- Design solutions integrating Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and LoB systems using Graph/REST.
2) Migration Leadership – Carve‑In / Carve‑Out
- Lead end‑to‑end tenant‑to‑tenant / domain carve‑in & carve‑out programs, including discovery, mapping, cutover strategy, and post‑migration remediation.
- Drive content modernization, permission re‑modelling, and risk/controls alignment for re‑classified content.
- Hands‑on with ShareGate (preferred) or equivalent migration tooling; author runbooks, trackers, and success criteria.
3) Secure File‑Sharing (SecureHub / SecureShare or Equivalent)
- Architect secure document exchange patterns for C1–C3 classified content with internal and external stakeholders.
- Define governance, retention, and classification alignment between SharePoint and the secure sharing platform.
- Administer from the platform’s admin portal: Manager, User, and Delegate accounts; onboarding/offboarding; access reviews; recertifications.
- Collaborate with the vendor (e.g., OODrive) for roadmap, feature enablement, and incident resolution—while keeping solutions scriptable and API‑driven to avoid vendor lock‑in.
- Build automation for account hygiene, recertifications, and reporting (usage, expiry, external links).
4) Security, Compliance & Zero‑Trust Alignment
- Implement end‑to‑end permission models, RBAC, DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and auditability across SPO and secure sharing.
- Align with Azure AD Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero‑Trust principles; design compliant external collaboration workflows.
5) Automation, Scripting & API Integration
- Build enterprise automation with PowerShell (advanced), PnP PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and REST APIs.
- Create CI/CD‑friendly provisioning frameworks, compliance reports (permissions, external access, sharing), and configuration drift controls.
- Develop reusable modules/runbooks for migrations, site provisioning, and secure‑sharing operations.
6) SharePoint On‑Prem (Secondary / Working Knowledge)
- Understand farm architecture (2016/2019), service apps, and patching—sufficient for coexistence, discovery, and migration planning to SPO.
- Support limited on‑prem design/production activities during transition windows; escalate deep infra issues to the on‑prem SME as needed.
7) Leadership & Governance
- Act as technical authority; run design reviews and approve solution patterns.
- Mentor L2/L3 engineers in SPO, secure sharing, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Drive operational excellence: SLAs, RCAs, standards adherence, and documentation.

- Strong admin knowledge of SecureHub/SecureShare or equivalent secure sharing platforms (incl. Manager/User/Delegate account models).
- Scripting & API management for platform administration, reporting, and integration; familiarity with vendor REST/SDKs (e.g., OODrive) is a plus, but transferable skills are essential.
- Experience designing C1–C3 exchange workflows, external collaboration rules, and retention.
Migration Tools & Methods
- ShareGate (preferred) or equivalent: inventory, mapping, delta sync, reporting, and error remediation.
- Proven delivery of carve‑in / carve‑out migrations (tenant/domain), including complex permission and sharing model changes.
Scripting & Integration
- PowerShell (advanced), PnP PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, CSOM, REST.
- Building automation for provisioning, health, compliance, and secure‑sharing governance.
Security & Identity
- Azure AD / Conditional Access, MFA, OAuth/Graph auth flows, secure external sharing design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Teams Administrator / Collaboration, SharePoint Administrator Associate (or equivalents).
- Demonstrated delivery of tenant‑to‑tenant migrations and secure file‑sharing rollouts at enterprise scale.
- Experience working with OODrive SecureHub/SecureShare or similar vendors.
