Consultant Technical Lead - Specialist Data
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-based data solutions on Azure and AWS, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to define data requirements and optimize solutions.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, standards, and policies using Microsoft Purview, AWS Glue Data Catalog, and other governance tools to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
- Design and implement scalable, cost-efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time and batch data processing, ensuring seamless data integration across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Develop and optimize data architectures, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead the design and implementation of modern data lakehouse architectures, leveraging tools like Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Identify potential risks in data solutions and develop proactive mitigation strategies throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing data architectures to align with evolving business needs and emerging technologies.
- Ensure best practices in performance tuning for data processing and analytics, optimizing cloud resource utilization.
- Drive innovation by researching and integrating emerging technologies (e.g., serverless data processing, AI/ML-based analytics, and data mesh architectures).
Profile required
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive expertise in data architecture, including data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and data lineage.
- Proficiency in cloud-based data platforms, with deep experience in AWS and Azure services.
- Extensive experience in distributed data processing using Apache Spark, particularly with Azure Databricks and AWS EMR.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines using:
- Azure: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics
- AWS: AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda for data transformation
- Experience in data orchestration and workflow automation using tools like Apache Airflow or cloud-native alternatives.
- Deep understanding of data security, compliance standards (GDPR,HIPAA,SOC2), and cloud-native security services, including:
- Azure: Microsoft Purview, Defender for Cloud, Azure RBAC
- AWS: AWS Macie, AWS IAM, AWS KMS
- Proficiency in data storage and management strategies, including:
- Data lakes, data lakehouses, and relational/non-relational databases (Azure Synapse, Snowflake)
- Optimization of cloud data storage (e.g., partitioning, indexing, caching)
- Experience with data analytics and visualization, ensuring seamless integration with tools like Power BI, and Tableau.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar industry standards.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments, utilizing CI/CD for data pipelines.
