Responsibilities

We are looking for an energetic, dynamic and driven individual to join us as a Vice President / Relationship Manager for our Corporate Coverage team for Great China and based in Hong Kong. The role will focus on the development and management of the corporate client portfolio for SG in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area of China in due course. The individual should possess strong communication skill sets, a charming personality and be a strong team player who is also able to work independently. The role would report into Head of Corporate Coverage Hong Kong.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of Hong Kong corporates by building up strong and direct relationships with the respective Treasurer/Treasury team members with the key objective of deepening existing client wallet and broadening the client dialogue with the respective SG business lines.

  • Develop new client relationships with target clients in Hong Kong and China Greater Bay Area (in due course).

  • Adopt a systematic approach towards covering of clients by working closely with Head of Coporate Coverage Hong Kong to develop clear client coverage strategies.

  • Arrange regular client meetings to ensure that clients are actively and well covered.

  • Work closely with business lines in Global Markets, Global Banking & Advisory business lines and Global Transaction Banking in the cross-selling of the bank’s product suite by identifying and understanding client’s business needs.

  • Work closely with credit team to manage credit facilities request and maintain proactive interaction with credit risk chain to ensure that they are up to date with client expectations and the dynamic business landscape in Hong Kong.

  • Work with middle office and back office team to ensure seamless delivery of the bank’s products to clients.

  • Regularly keep up to date and comply with Legal policies, Compliance procedures and E&S policies.

  • Supervise and manage KYC processes for new clients and existing clients.

  • To lead, mentor and help to develop graduate trainees within the team.

Profile required

  • Proactive, dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is a team player with strong business acumen.

  • Proven track record in corporate client coverage. Experienced in cross selling structured finance, transaction banking, interest rate and FX derivatives and investment banking products.

  • Experience with coverage of Hong Kong clients with established client relationships with the respective treasury teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
