Responsibilities

SG is the first bank in the world to issue a Stablecoin and it plans to maintain its leading role in this industry by expanding its activity into the U.S. under the aegis of the new U.S. regulation on stablecoins (the GENIUS Act) and the changing regulatory environment for digital assets generally.  SG is also expanding its banking activities with virtual asset service providers and crypto asset service providers involved in a variety of related businesses, including crypto exchanges, crypto technology providers, digital asset custody and trading services.

SG is looking for a compliance officer who is interested in helping to establish and grow its digital assets businesses in the U.S.  Because the regulatory environment is still developing, SG is seeking someone who will grow and learn on-the-job while developing expertise in this area.  The job activities will include:

  • Closely following regulatory rulemaking on GENIUS Act and working on advocacy positions for SG when relevant.
  • Advising business lines on developing U.S. regulatory environment for digital assets, with a focus on Stablecoins and the new GENIUS Act.
  • Serving as a compliance coverage officer for the digital assets business and U.S. compliance subject matter expert on digital assets more generally.
  • When necessary, developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures and training programs and internal monitoring controls.
  • Interacting with the business lines within SG, in particular with SG-Forge, SG’s subsidiary responsible for digital assets registered on the blockchain and the issuer of two Stablecoins to date.
  • Regularly exchanging knowledge with Paris-based compliance personnel.
  • Assisting with other traditional compliance activities relating to the digital assets business.
