Director - Term ABS Origination
Responsibilities
The Asset Backed Product team is an investment banking function that operates within Société Générale’s Distribution and Credit Solutions (DCS) business, which is a joint-venture between the Investment Banking (GLBA) and Markets (MARK) divisions in the Americas. The joint-venture strategically combines Société Générale’s Credit & Financing capabilities with SG’s Capital Markets expertise.
The ABS team is looking for a Director-level banker to originate and execute ABS transactions in flow and on-the-run asset classes. This candidate will join an established Asset Backed team that is core to the bank’s securitized products franchise as well as to the Americas investment bank platform. The Director will be instrumental to the strategy of further expanding the breadth of the bank’s well-established ABS client base. The individual will be working very closely with the group head and is expected to be a vital senior member of the team working to originate business as well as help formulate, direct and execute business strategy, and developing the junior members of the team.
Profile required
- Minimum 10 years of ABS experience
- ABS deal execution experience across a variety of asset classes with a focus on flow and on-the-run asset classes in a structuring role capacity
- Experience working on forward flow and whole loan sale transactions
- Experience creating rating agency presentations and working with rating agency, legal and accounting teams
- Experience generating structural and marketing ideas and in creation of pitch books
- Experience in conducting investor roadshow meetings
- Strong presentation skills for interacting with clients, rating agency analysts and ABS investors
- Proven relationships with a number of ABS issuers
- Collaborative team player as well as self-starter
- Hard working with strong interpersonal, communication and quantitative skills
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree

- MBA, Masters or CFA

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
