Distribution and Credit Solution | Securitisation Intern – M/W
Responsibilities
Based on a diversified universal banking model, the Société Générale operates in Italy through different companies belonging to its three main core businesses: Retail Banking in France, International retail banking, financial services and insurance and Corporate and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities services.
Mission:
The intern will be part of the European Securitisation team in the Global Banking Division – Distribution and Credit Solution based in Milan (Front Office), highly motivating environment, with close contact with several internal and external teams in a very dynamic context. The team is composed by thirty people around Europe.
The selected candidate will focus his/her activity on the origination, advisory, structuring, placement, and financing of securitisation transactions on performing loans portfolios originated by Italian financial institutions. Internally, the intern will be in contact with the Securitization team and will liaise with the other departments of the bank (Debt Capital Market, Relationship managers, sales and traders, Risk department, Legal department), to develop the relevant cooperation, where necessary.
Externally, in cooperation with the team and with the supervision of the relevant senior member, the intern will enter in contact with lawyers, rating agencies and clients.
This is a full-time internship lasting 6 months with the possibility of renewal for an equivalent period.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the team in all aspects of securitization transactions
- Prepare pitchbooks for clients, marketing presentations for investors, term sheets and rating agency materials
- Analyze portfolio data depending on asset characteristics
- Analyze new markets and related legal framework
- Conduct market research and industry review projects for new asset classes / new structures / new jurisdictions
- Follow-up support for the transactions already in place
- Develop and maintain databases and automated tools used by the team to track information such as transaction pricing, investor participation, internal compliance
Profile required
Studies & experience:
- Student or Graduate in Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Finance
- Financial background
Language skills:
- Fluent in English and Italian
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Quantitative background – ability to work with big data file and databases
- Proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint
- Programming skills will be considered as a plus
- Team spirit
