Electronic Foreign Exchange Trader
Responsibilities
- Manage electronic market making book under given risk limits and responsible for risk management and algo overnight
- Develop and monitor electronic market making activity on the FX market in Asia: spot, NDF and precious metals
- Work with Sales to understand client requirements to improve the offering
- Analyse trade, market and other data to propose and develop new models
- Strive for excellence in robustness and competitiveness of the eFX trading product
- Know and respect the SRAB/Volcker laws requirements, in the performance of certain duties as listed in handbooks
- Operate in conformance with the mandate and in compliance with the Societe Generale procedures established for the enforcement of the French Banking Law compliance and Volker Rule
- Manage positions under sound and effective risk management including for achieving individual business objectives
- Adhere to Societe Generale policies, procedures and Code of Conduct; understand and act in compliance with all laws and regulations, including, but not limited to anti-money laundering and OFAC regulations, relevant to area of responsibility and business
- Act with responsibility, accountability and autonomy by utilizing sound judgment to make risk-mitigating decisions while remaining aware of the impact and consequences of such decisions to Societe Generale and our clients
- Escalate any material risk, compliance or control-related issues that comes to your attention
- Seek opportunities to improve the risk, compliance and control environment at SG and with our clients
Profile required
Academic Background and Certifications, Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with a Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Business or other equivalent background
- A few years of experience in electronic market making in FX spot, NDF or precious metals
- Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for numbers with excellent attention to detail
- Experience in FX voice market making an advantage
- Experience in working with Sales and other partners to grow client franchise
- Reliable professional conduct
- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Good data analytical skill preferred
