Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Counsel, Asia Pacific
  • Manage General Counsel’s calendar;
  • Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the General Counsel;
  • Act as the department main point of contact for expenses and processing of invoices;
  • Provide support to lawyers in relation to the payment of external legal fees, and related issues such vendor activation;
  • Support the Permanent Supervision controls declarations of the legal department;
  • Organise and prepare meetings for the legal department;
  • Assist Legal Exco members in their administrative tasks, including their team meetings, and travel arrangements and expense reports;
  • Maintain and update the put away list and archive list for the legal department;
  • Organization of seminars / overseas meetings / overseas visitors for the legal department;

Profile required

  • Good communication skills and good command of spoken and written English. Cantonese and Mandarin also an advantage.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Organization skills; to be able to prioritise emails while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Proactive.
  • Motivated and able to work independently, while respecting reporting procedures.
  • Understanding of frequently used computer software and programs, e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel & Powerpoint etc.
  • Previous experience working in law firms or in-house legal teams is preferred

The finalized candidate will be offered a 12-month secondment contract with SG's preferred employment partners.
