Responsibilities

The candidate needs to have a solid understanding of handling of financial modeling. The junior trader will help the team in their daily task for decision making, risk hedging and follow the structured product in their settlement cycle.

As part of a client franchise, the junior trader will help to provide high quality of service to the sales team and the development of the commercial franchise in APAC.

Responsibilities:

•        Provide Exotic Structured Products quotes to our clients

•        Manage market risk in a sound manner

•        Ensure operational processes are efficient and robust

•        Ensure that the trading desk is working under proper compliance environment

•        Monitor diligently the trading desk is working under risk limit

•        Ensure pricing methodology reflects correctly product risk

Profile required

Profile Requirements:

Competencies and working experience:

•        Understanding of financial engineering pricing concepts

•        Asian financial market knowledges

•        Strong commitment to all teams involved in the client's franchise

•        Knowledge of financial mathematics to understand pricing models

•        Knowledge of financial product risk management

•        IT & coding skills (Python is preferred)

•        Ability to work in a team

•        Capacity to communicate clearly with business partners and client

•        Ability to self-control under pressure in a fast-paced environment

•        Work with total integrity

•        Critical thinking to adapt to changing environment

•        Growth mindset and ability to learn from failure

•        Strong day-to-day self-discipline

 Qualifications desirable

•        Graduate education

•        Coding knowledge (Python is preferred)

•        Basic experience of financial products and financial markets, general knowledge for equity derivatives

Department Description

The candidate will join the Equity Exotic products on Asian underlying's. The team cover a large client base across Asia, servicing retail clients, private    banking and institutional clients.

The range of products covered is therefore fairly large and complex to manage which requires good knowledge of Asian financial markets and deep understanding of derivatives pricing techniques from the exotic team

The candidate will need to be able to service the client franchise under all market conditions while maintaining a sound risk management.
