Responsibilities

Working within the Global Banking Technology & Operations Fixed Income and Currencies (GBTO/FIC) department, the Exotic Trading Support Analyst is responsible for recording transactions in the information systems under delegation from the Front Office, managing the transaction lifecycle, and acting as the first level of control after the Front Office.

As the Exotic Trading Support Analyst, you will work closely with the Front Office and all support functions (Middle Office, Back Office, Risk Management, Finance Management, Market Activity Indicators Management, Information Systems Management). Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Modelling vanilla and exotic transactions and traded events in the information system
  • Checking the quality and completeness of the information entered
  • Analyzing and regulating reported discrepancies,
  • Coordinating processing of requests and problem resolution between Front Office and all support functions (e.g., Middle-Office Control, Back-Office, Risk Department, Finance Department)
  • Monitoring the life cycle of operations and cross-functional issues
  • Participating in the department's cross-functional projects and tasks (e.g., team process automation and convergence projects, production of risk and performance indicators, impact analysis for the development of new activities etc.)
  • Participating in the production of risk indicators (KRI) or performance indicators (KPI) for the team's activities.

Profile required

You will be most successful in the role with:

  • Higher education degree, preferably in banking or finance related studies,
  • 2-3+ years of experience in the finance market,
  • Technical knowledge of financial products,
  • Functional knowledge of transaction modeling processes,
  • Fluency in English. French would be an asset,
  • Good communication and coordination skills,
  • Teamwork mindset,
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Excel,
  • Knowledge of exotic products and/or Python will be an advantage.
