Responsibilities

Working within the Global Banking Technology & Operations Trading Support Unit (GBTO/TSU), the Exotic Trading Support Trainee is responsible for controlling transactions in the information systems under delegation from the Front Office, managing the transaction lifecycle, and acting as the first level of control after the Front Office.

As the Exotic Trading Support Trainee, you will work closely with the Front Office and all support functions (Middle Office, Back Office, Risk Management, Finance Management, Market Activity Indicators Management, Information Systems Management).

The key responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:

  • Modelling vanilla and exotic transactions and traded events in the information system

  • Checking the quality and completeness of the information entered

  • Analysing and regulating reported discrepancies

  • Coordinating processing of requests and problem resolution between Front Office and all support functions (e.g., Middle-Office Control, Back-Office, Risk Department, Finance Department)

  • Monitoring the life cycle of operations and cross-functional issues

  • Participating in the department's cross-functioanal projects and tasks (e.g., team process automation and convergence projects, production of risk and performance indicators, impact analysis for the development of new activities etc.)

  • Participating in the production of risk indicators (KRI) or performance indicators (KPI) for the team's activities

Profile required

We expect from the candidates:

  • Student status for the entire duration of the internship, minimum 12 months

  • Minimum availability of 25 hours per week

  • Proficiency English (French and Polish are nice to have)

  • Practical knowledge of MS Office, with particular emphasis on MS Excel

  • Technical knowledge of financial products, especially derivatives

  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently

  • High analytical skills with ability to analyze complex information

  • Ability to analyze complex situations from multiple perspectives to make informed decisions

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

  • Eagerness and ability to acquire new skills, knowledge, and expertise
