Feature Engineering Manager - Public Cloud
Responsibilities
Job Title: Engineering Manager – Public Cloud (GTE/CLD/PCL Team)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Feature Engineering Manager – experience ranging between 12-18 years, to lead our public cloud foundations team, driving innovation and operational excellence across AWS and Azure environments/products. This role involves managing a feature team or multiple components across teams, ensuring high-quality delivery of cloud-based solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Delivery
Manage a complete feature team or multiple components across teams.
Oversee application/project delivery with medium to high criticality.
Ensure timely and quality project delivery by managing team performance and priorities.
Coach teams to adhere to clear constraints in delivery plans.
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with Product Owners and key business stakeholders.
Provide product vision and strategic direction to the team.
Operational Excellence
Drive budget and capacity planning to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Contribute to Service Platform-level OKRs and collaborate with other feature teams.
Continuous Improvement
Promote best practices in cloud engineering, DevOps, and automation.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Requirements
Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, GitHub Actions, monitoring tools).
Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Qualifications
Preferred Certifications: SAFe or equivalent.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, analyzing budget, time, cost, scope, quality, risk, and resources.
Excellent understanding of business domain, operating environment, constraints, and regulatory requirements.
Strong people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to coach and mentor teams for high performance.
Soft Skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to influence and drive change across teams.
Mastery of Agile methodology is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed, cross-country team
