Responsibilities

The Feature Team Manager for Securities Prime Brokerage role is a senior level position, with visibility at the GBSU/EQD/Financing Exco and with senior business stakeholders globally. Key purpose of the role:

  • The FT manager is responsible for supervising an international team of BAs and developers located in New York and Montreal covering the Securities Prime Brokerage business in AMER region.Performance: Responsible for the End-to-End IT performance (on process effectiveness, cost effectiveness, risk management) of the Cash Equity and FI PB Chain through KPI follow-up.
  • Transformation: Through collaboration with the Value Chain Owner, the FT Manager owns the continuous improvement and delivery of global strategy for their scope
  • Supervision: The FT Manager is responsible for ensuring all IT Risk Management topics are deliver, including staying ahead of any and all IT obsolescence, including when managed externally.
  • Contribute to the global and local ITEC strategy for GBSU
  • Establish priorities and objectives for the team
  • Coordinate production and project activities with Head of GTS and other ITEC BL teams, locally and globally.
  • Ensure the team is employing all ITEC standards and respecting ITEC policies (e.g. continuous delivery practices, segregation of duties, project governance, change management procedures, etc.)

Profile required

Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in the Cash Equity and FI PB products and processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of end-to-end operational flow: trade booking through post trade reconciliation and the systems and organizational groups involved.
  • Capable of dealing with and influencing vendors at all levels and building strong relationships with internal groups.
  • Project management knowledge covering overall planning, business analysis, testing and deployment.
  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills – ability to work as part of a global team

Experience

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Equity Operations
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Cash Equity & FI PB business

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical skills in C# or JAVA - real-time, low latency, high scale, high availability, multithreaded, distributed.
  • Strong knowledge on API, Docker
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills and design patterns
  • Agile methodologies, continuous delivery
  • Experience with performance testing and profiling

Education
Must have:

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar

Desired/ Plus:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
