Finance Officer
Responsibilities
We are seeking for an experienced accountant who will be responsible to provide accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and tax reporting. His/ her main responsibilities are as follows:
Financial accounting & controls:
- Perform daily accounting function and month end closing.
- Perform the account certification controls to ensure accounting data quality.
- Liaison with offshored teams and monitor quality of accounting functions.
- Support semi-annually and annual statutory audit by providing correct financial information promptly.
Regulatory reporting & watch:
- Perform regulatory reporting with accuracy.
- Discuss with finance managers if there is any new requirement or change and identify potential impact.
- Implement new regulatory changes in accordance with FSC, TWSE, TPEx, TSA requirements.
- Support TWSE ad hoc request or inspection by providing correct financial information in a timely manner.
Financial steering & ALM:
- Prepare monthly financial.
- Monitor daily financial information to ensure no breach on internal threshold and regulatory limit.
Tax - Prepare CIT report filing, substitute transfer pricing report, GBRT and W/H tax calculation and filing.
- Reconcile SGPM Taiwan warrants’ P&L, and SGSHK Taiwan warrants TP retrocession subject to Taiwan CIT.
- Provide information for tax queries from tax authority if any.
Transversal topics:
- Support finance mangers to implement target finance processes.
- Perform permanent supervision controls on time and in a proper manner, declare in permanent supervision tool.
- Support any new initiatives and ideas to improve the deliverables of the Finance team.
Profile required
- Experienced knowledge on TWSE regulatory reporting.
- Knowledge and experiences in agency-broker business.
- Knowledge on Taiwan tax rules.
- Knowledge on IFRSs accounting standard.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking skills.
- Organization skills & attention to details.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools & PowerPoint.
- University graduate in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional accounting qualification.
- At least 3 years of relevant experiences in Finance Department in agency-broker industry.
- Taiwan Securities senior agent license.

Department Description:
Finance Service Unit (“DFIN”) coordinates the Finance Line and ensures the Group’s financial production, steering and management via several complementary missions:
- Support business lines, service units and general management in terms of financial and strategic steering.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and obligations.
- Ensure monitoring and steering of P&L and scarce resources performance (capital, liquidity, balance sheet) in keeping within strategic objectives and in compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Maintain financial crisis management plans.
- Ensure regulatory watch on topics pertaining to asset & liability management, accounting, and finance.
