Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement short-to-medium-term strategies for SPL, SRE, and ERE in alignment with organizational objectives and vision.
- Drive transformation initiatives across the functional scope of the tribe, ensuring innovation, simplification, and adoption of industry standards.
- Delivery & Governance
- Govern and report on business deliverables for all three departments.
- Ensure operational excellence and timely delivery of projects and services.
- Act as the third-level escalation point for delivery resolutions.
- Stakeholder Management
- Manage large delivery teams and stakeholders across global locations.
- Negotiate and influence decisions with Unit/Tribe Heads and senior leadership (N-/+3 levels).
- Contribute to global forums and strengthen the Business Line value proposition.
- Financial & People Accountability
- Own sub-Business Line budgets and ensure cost optimization.
- Drive people-related objectives, including talent development and team engagement.
- Project Execution
- Initiate and execute medium-to-large-scale projects across SPL, SRE, and ERE.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve developer experience, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Promote automation, security compliance, and best engineering practices.
Departmental Scope
- SPL (Secure Pipelines & Engineering Practices)
- Deliver secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure blueprints.
- Drive software engineering practices and tools for the internal Cloud platform.
- SRE (Site Reliability Engineering)
- Ensure platform reliability, security, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Automate operations and improve developer productivity through proactive support and monitoring.
- ERE (Engineering Resource Enablement)
- Provide automation tools for onboarding to EPL capabilities and developer portals.
- Report on platform adoption, reliability, and usage KPIs.
- Enhance developer experience through productivity tools and training.
Profile Required
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in IT delivery, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing global teams.
- Proven track record in Cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and best practices.
- Leadership Skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic decisions.
- Certifications (Preferred)
- Cloud Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect.
- DevOps Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Docker Certified Associate, or DevOps Foundation.
- Security Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
- ITIL Certification for service management best practices.
