Responsibilities

  • Based in Korea, the Local Head of cash clearing & FI trade acts as Relationship Manager, in charge of the commercial relationship with a portfolio of banks financial institutions, to achieve development and growth.
  • She/he implements the commercial strategy of the Business Line in the Region s/he covers, to acquire new clients and increase the revenues of existing customers by promoting the products of the Business Line (EUR clearing, multi-currency clearing, FX products such as Auto FX or Pay FX, API based solutions...). 
  • She/he manages and develops his portfolio to capture additional volumes of payments, taking into account profitability and risk management.
  • While having a high degree of autonomy on a daily basis to achieve the objectives set at the beginning of the year, s/he uses the Group's tools to report on the business activity, update information on his customers and prospects, and follow up on the commercial opportunities.
  • She/he is in charge of the responses to the Due Diligence and RFP of his portfolio.
  • She/he also participates in the collection and feedback of information on the competition and market needs (trends, pricing, etc.). 
  • As a Relationship Manager, the Local Head of cash clearing & FI trade is also in charge of the origination and structuring of Trade Finance transactions: credit and compliance approval, coordination with both internal partners (GLBA/FIG, GLBA/CRE, GLBA/NAT/TCF, RISQ/CIB, TRA DESKS, SGRF, AFMO & EURO subsidiaries, CPLE, JUR, Back Office) and external partners (banks, private insurers with TRA/ING, multilaterals, etc.), in compliance with SG and TRA procedures.
  • She/he also facilitates transactions in coordination with requesters.
  • She/he contributes to the adaptation of credit lines by taking into account the potential business and market conditions.
  • Finally, the Local Head of cash clearing & FI trade has a role of first line of defense (LOD1), by integrating compliance elements in his approach, knowledge of customers and their activities (KYC, Business Review, etc.) and by understanding all the risks inherent in operations (compliance, credit, operational, etc.).
  • The position requires close collaboration with GLBA, but also MARK, SGRF and the other GTPS partners (TRA, SGF, etc.).
  • She/he reports hierarchically to the Local Head of GTPS and functionally to GTPS BAN Head of Sales Middle East and Asia Pacific

Profile required

  • Fluent Korean and English required
  • Expertise in payments, international trade and SWIFT
  • Proven commercial experience, excellent interpersonal skills, customer orientation
  • Understanding of the risks underlying the business (compliance, credit, operational, etc.)
  • Knowledge of credit and profitability analysis (RAROC, RWA, etc.)
  • Teamwork with a good sense of organization and priorities
  • Ability to evolve in an international environment and adapt to local specificities
  • Involvement and quality and results orientation
  • Autonomy, pro-activity
  • Proficiency in computer tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
