Head of Operations - Societe Generale Giftcity, Gandhinagar
Responsibilities
Job Summary-:
The structured finance middle office teams work on middle office activities for the structured finance transactions within the Global Banking & Advisory business. As the Head of Gift city Operations, this role would have an oversight of all internal and external outsourced operations functions with a focus on financing operations.
Main Responsibilities-:
- Review of legal documentation for understanding of deal structure and operational feasibility
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as front office, compliance, back office and finance to ensure deals are booked (closed) on a timely basis
- Assist closing team and back office with deal closing, loan selldowns and de-closing
- Contribution towards various transaction management reporting tasks (ad hoc client requests, specific request for internal partners, scarce resource management).
- Managing different types of loan transactions (syndicated, bilateral, and agent) in energy, infrastructure, metals and mining, and other sectors
- Where SG is mandated as Facility Agent, Security Agent and/or Export Credit Agency (ECA) Agent, perform the tasks required under these roles
- Ensure regulatory reports are submitted as per due date.

- Internal - Branch manager and GLBA Coverage / Origination teams ; Regional Operations teams
- External - Regulators , External providers
Profile required
Skills and Competencies Required-:
Technical-:
- 7-10 years experience in Financial Services Operations
- Strong knowledge of structured finance. loan syndication, and lending operations
- Knowledge, understanding and appreciation of operational risks
- Experience in dealing with regulators preferred
