Head of Supply Chain Management
Responsibilities
As a core member of the GTPS APAC Executive Committee (EXCO), the incumbent actively contributes to defining the business line strategy and its implementation plan, ensuring alignment with the GTB & SCM global strategy.
Collaborates with the Head of GTPS APAC & SCM BL to develop the Net Banking Income (NBI) and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) trajectory for both the existing portfolio and new business opportunities, as part of strategic and budgetary reviews.
Defines, organizes, and coordinates business initiatives requiring specialized expertise and/or global/regional coordination (e.g., ESG Shift, Regulatory, NBFI, SGF), working closely with all specialized front offices to ensure profitability, security, and effective risk management.
Supports GTB’s commercial efforts by fostering strong communication, coordination, and collaboration with Heads of Desk on commercial initiatives, including client pitches for complex subjects and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Organizes and facilitates the delivery of training and information sessions necessary for specialized front offices to perform their roles effectively.
Provides ongoing support to specialized front officers to enhance their operational effectiveness.
Promotes synergies within GTPS and across structured finance business lines such as GLBA, MARK, and SGRF.
Partners with the Head of GTPS APAC to ensure the commercial setup is optimized in terms of team size, competence levels, and overall performance.
Participates in managing the business line’s value chains and ensures specialized front officers effectively adopt changes aimed at improving performance.
Acts as a key first line of defense (LOD1) by supervising portfolio management and operations, and validating funding amounts, with delegated authority where applicable.
Ensures that specialized front officers propose solutions that the value chain can execute under appropriate risk and cost control conditions.
Provides expert opinion, upon consultation by the Head of Desk, on transactions that deviate from established pricing, profitability, or risk frameworks.
Contributes to the evolution of the product and service offering in building business cases for necessary developments (e.g., CTB, staffing).
Profile required
Extensive banking experience, notably in SCM across APAC
Proven leadership quality and managerial experience
Team player with strong sense of collaboration
Culture and sense of conduct, risk and performance
Capacity for transformation, adaptation and innovation, thinking "out of the box"
Proficiency in English, with Chinese as a preference
