Responsibilities

The HR Intern delivers a pro-active and flexible HR service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support to the team and employees, whilst driving best practices and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, documented policies and employment legislation.

This role focuses on providing effective HR support service by working closely and building strong relationships with the Swiss HR team. Focusing on campaigns support whilst also working with, guiding and supporting the off shored HR administration teams and off shored Shared Service Center Team in Bucharest.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Supporting and partnering with the entire Swiss Human Resources team in providing day-to-day administrative HR support to all employees of assigned business lines, including HR specific and periodic campaigns

  • Assisting in a smooth administration process for all new joiners, internal mobilities but also leavers (incl. obtaining work permits and booking apartments, Liability Insurance, key hand-over where applicable), work permit, Badge- & Access request forms, Onboarding trainings, background screening results, etc.

  • Supporting and following up on leave of absence requests, sickness process – liaising with external service provider, early enrollment for LPP

  • Supporting the designated HR team member with the registration as well as deregistration of the new employees with local authorities, tax, insurances, KiZu, Sanitas etc.

  • Supporting the Payroll Manager with de-registering employee with authorities, Insurances

  • Attending and contributing to bi-weekly meetings with Service Center in Bucharest

  • Support and contribute to all ongoing Projects incl. Digitalization

Profile required

Experience:

  • Min. 2 years of experience in a similar role (HR Administration level) within a demanding environment (Banking or Financial Services preferred)


Language skills:

  • German: C1

  • English: C1

  • French would be considered a plys


Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Working knowledge of Swiss employment legislation and HR procedures and policies

  • Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organization, communication and Digitalization skills

  • Demonstrated capacity to apply and implement the learned processes and values, including discretion and confidentiality

  • Ability to listen actively, remain calm and think quickly when under pressure

  • Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment but also Digitalization tools

  • Working knowledge of computerized HR information systems

  • Bright and cheerful disposition

  • Embraces change

  • Willingness to learn and self-motivation

  • Reliable, accurate and punctual, attention to details


Internship duration: 18 months
