INTERN: Compliance
Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Intern to join the Compliance Department in Hong Kong. This summer internship is focused on supporting the APAC Compliance Governance, Risk and Conduct (GRC) team by assisting in compliance initiatives across the APAC region. The position is offered for a duration of 2 to 3 months. Note: the internship is fully on-site (no smart working) and is expected to cover the summer period.
- Conduct research and prepare presentations as needed. Translate complex regulatory or technical topics into clear, impactful slides and enhance executive presentations;
- Support the compliance policy/procedure creation/review;
- Assist with gathering and reporting metrics of management information;
- Support data preparation and analysis for compliance dashboards and reports;
- Contribute to GRC team projects/initiatives and support Group enquiries as needed;
- Collect and analyze project requirements, identify risks and dependencies, and contribute to the development of project plans and documentation
- Coordinate project tasks and timelines, track progress, and identify and address potential issues
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency
Profile required
- Currently studying towards a bachelor's or master's degree
- Excellent Microsoft Suite skills, including data analysis and reporting (Excel and Power BI) and AI use (e.g. CoPilot Chat)
- Ability to manage administrative tasks diligently while meeting tight deadlines and performing effectively under pressure
- Detail-oriented, flexible and diligent
- Fluent in verbal and written English
This is a 2–3-month full-time internship with Societe Generale in Hong Kong whereby you will work within one business line / support function for the period. CPLE/ASI/GRC
Governance, Risk and Conduct (GRC) include several compliance disciplines and has responsibility for ABC (Anti-Bribery & Corruption), Risk Assessment, Policy and Training, ESG, Data & Digital and Conduct risks. It is a regional team providing coverage on these matters across all of the locations in ASIA.
