Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Assisting the India legal department in review of documentation and research of laws and regulations
Main Responsibilities:
1. Drafting and review of documentation, including all types of agreements.
2. Research and analysis of various laws and regulations.
3. Liaison with various departments of the bank (including other legal teams in Asia and Europe).
4. Tracking legal and regulatory updates on a daily basis and uploading on the tools of the bank.
5. Preparing relevant MIS to record information, including but not limited to legal opinions, legal invoices, legal and regulatory updates.
Profile required
Academic Background:
Indian Law Degree (completed or pursuing).
Professional Experience:
Research and Drafting experience, preferably with a law firm. Prior experience of banking, finance and corporate laws is a major advantage
Skills & Competencies:
1. Sound understanding of Indian laws in relation to contracts and preferably banking.
2. Experience in drafting legal documentation and thorough knowledge of the MS Word application.
3. Disciplined, professionalized approach, strong time management, prioritization and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
4. Analytical skills, and the ability to apply legal analysis to different fact patterns.
Language Skills:
Good command of English is mandatory (written and spoken).
