Responsibilities

The Information Security and Risk (ISR) Intern will work for the ISR heads in the Americas region supporting a variety of functions, including Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, and Third-Party Risk Management. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, preparing for a career in cybersecurity, demonstrate good communication skills, and be attracted to challenging opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Work with multiple ISR teams to support the SG Americas cybersecurity program

·        Support data protection and vulnerability management initiatives and remediation activities

·        Engage with stakeholders in IT and Risk departments to ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and properly monitored

·        Produce and publish metrics and reports for key stakeholders (e.g., CISO, CIO, CTO, COO)

·        Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities to improve existing processes

Profile required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

·        Understanding of HTTP, web programming, scripting and relational databases

·        Basic understanding of cybersecurity and operational risk standards, frameworks and best practices (e.g. NIST CSF, OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, etc)

·        Practical experience utilizing AI tools and LLM’s is highly valued

COMPETENCIES

  • Good analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to do independent research and summarize findings

·        Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential

·        Experience with MS Office tools (e.g., Excel, Powerpoint, Word, PowerBI)

·        Excellent collaboration skills

EDUCATION

·        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field with some exposure to cybersecurity

·        Fundamental understanding of communications technologies: email, FTP, Web

·        Cybersecurity, Risk, or IT certifications a plus

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. This is not a benefits eligible position.
