Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated Trainee to join our Data Quality team. This role is ideal for a candidate eager to develop expertise in data governance and quality within a leading global financial institution. You will support the identification, analysis, and remediation of data quality issues, contributing to the bank’s operational resilience and regulatory compliance.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying data quality issues through data profiling and analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Support investigations to determine root causes of data discrepancies and errors

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business units and IT to define and implement remediation actions

  • Monitor remediation progress and validate data corrections to ensure sustained data quality improvements

  • Document remediation plans, findings, and outcomes in accordance with Société Générale’s standards and regulatory requirements

  • Contribute to the enhancement of data quality controls, policies, and governance frameworks

  • Participate actively in training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives

  • Support regular reporting to management on data quality status and remediation activities

Profile required

Operational & behavioral skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Computer Science, Information Management, or related discipline.

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Basic knowledge of data management principles and data quality concepts

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools is a plus

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt within a dynamic environment

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team

  • Interest in financial services, regulatory frameworks, and data governance

  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to data integrity                               

Languages:

  • Advanced English and French

  • Full-time internship (no alternance possible)

  • Duration:  4 to 6 months
