Investment Banking Associate - Fund Finance Distribution
Responsibilities
DIVISION DESCRIPTION:
Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) combines recognized wholesale coverage with world-class product, financing, and advisory expertise within one team, enabling us to best support our clients. On the one hand, our transversal, product-neutral coverage teams span all businesses to promote the bank's products and services to our clients globally, and on the other, we provide world-class capital raising, financing and advisory expertise.
- Support the distribution and execution of the US fund finance distribution globally throughout the lifecycle of a transaction beginning from initial engagement with sponsors to the successful distribution of risk to investors.
- Help create innovative structures for the various fund finance assets classes to broaden distribution channels to institutional clients.
- Liaise with various deal parties such as lawyers, rating agencies, internal risk, and sales during the transactions lifecycle.
- Prepare credit analysis, marketing materials to engage prospective buyers.
- Work closely with SG’s asset manager to raise LP Capital to invest in fund finance products
- Produce reports/presentations to be shared in each loan credit application to SG’s Risk department and Senior Management
- Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of certain key models and applications for the Fund Financing Platform.
Profile required
Must Have:
- Expertise in one of the fund finance products structuring, originating, and or distribution loans
- 3+ years of experience
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university (preferably economics, accounting or finance)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, excellent communicator who is team oriented
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- High attention to detail, highly articulate, organized and result oriented
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and culturally diverse environment
- Language(s) English
Role License Requirement:
- Series 79, 63 preferred but not required at outset. Appropriate securities licenses must be obtained post hire if not already held.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
