Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) acts as a business solution center for Societe Generale, one of the largest European financial groups. If you are looking for a great career opportunity within the IT world, then you are in the right place.

Our IT Filiere has over 800 IT professionals, delivering services on four perimeters: Retail Banking, Security and Infrastructure, Internal Support Applications and Investment Banking. And our team is ready to expand and find new awesome colleagues to embark on this journey.

The “Arrêtés des comptes” team is part of the IT department supporting the French Retail Banking division of Société Générale. You will join a team responsible for calculating and managing interest and commissions for individual and professional clients.

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to play a key role in managing the application lifecycle, from ideation to post-production support, while contributing to the reliability and performance of a critical banking process. In this role, you will go beyond analysis to help shape, optimize, and enable solutions. You will join a team where your ability to navigate complexity will have a direct impact on client satisfaction and operational success.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that every business request is transformed into clear, actionable, and value-adding solutions.

Act as the voice of the business within the IT landscape, helping to prioritize the product backlog and deliver effective solutions for incidents and application-related issues.

Contribute across all project phases, including scoping, design, estimation, testing, and deployment.

Write clear functional specifications and user stories, and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog.

Facilitate solution design workshops and collaborate with developers to estimate effort.

Support the testing team in defining and executing the test strategy.

Work in an Agile environment, partnering closely with stakeholders and the delivery team to maximize product value and support effective sprint ceremonies.

Bring Scrum Master capabilities, or a strong willingness to grow into the role, by facilitating team collaboration, removing blockers, and supporting continuous improvement.

Lead or actively contribute to project committees and drive follow-up actions through to completion.

Profile required

Degree in IT, business, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a banking or financial services environment, with exposure to Product Owner responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills in French, both written and spoken.

Comfortable engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.

Ability to work comfortably in technical environments, with basic knowledge of SQL or a similar language.

Hands-on practice with Agile methodology, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Scrum Master capabilities or a clear desire to take on this role in support of team effectiveness and delivery excellence.

Strong autonomy and emotional intelligence, with the ability to take ownership while fostering collaboration.

Ability to synthesize the big picture while remaining detail-oriented when execution requires it.

Ability to anticipate obstacles, suggest improvements, and build forward-looking plans.

Nice to have:

Experience working on banking IT projects.

  Previous exposure to mainframe technologies.

Previous experience as a Product Owner or in a hybrid Business Analyst / Product Owner role.
