Responsibilities

The Generalized Printing System team is part of the IT department supporting Société Générale’s French Retail Banking division. In this role, you will join a team responsible for managing applications within the document management ecosystem, including tools used for the large-scale processing and distribution of documents across more than 100 banking applications.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Product Owner capabilities who can translate business needs into clear requirements, support delivery priorities, and help drive the continuous improvement of our document management applications.

This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional and multicultural teams, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and a strong commitment to agile ways of working.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 10 to 20 applications end to end, including scoping, analysis, planning, functional validation, and coordination of production delivery.
  • Elicit, analyze, and clarify business needs from internal stakeholders, translating them into actionable user stories and functional specifications.
  • Maintain a well-prioritized and realistic product backlog by balancing business priorities, operational needs, and delivery timelines.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to support effort estimation, monitor progress, and help coordinate releases.
  • Prepare regular progress and risk reports for both management and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate planning and backlog refinement sessions and, when needed, provide backup support in the Scrum Master role.
  • Lead acceptance testing and validate deliverables before release.
  • Drive analysis and continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and optimizing time and cost for internal clients.
  • Support change and transformation initiatives by facilitating collaboration across business, delivery, and support teams.
  • Contribute to solution design discussions by ensuring business requirements are clearly understood, documented, and reflected in delivery outcomes.
  • Promote agile ways of working in a collaborative, multicultural environment spanning multiple time zones.

Profile required

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar functional role within IT or banking environments.
  • Experience in the banking sector, ideally with exposure to document management, operations, or process-oriented applications.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French skills.
  • A high level of autonomy, ownership, and collaboration, supported by strong interpersonal awareness.
  • The ability to understand the broader context while remaining detail-oriented during execution.
  • Experience working in agile environments, ideally with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • A strong advocate for best practices in documentation, process design, and agile collaboration.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A mindset focused not only on feature delivery, but also on clarity, structure, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and a solution-oriented approach in a fast-changing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills to balance business needs, priorities, and delivery expectations.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to team spirit through active listening, knowledge sharing, and peer support.
