Responsibilities

You will join a Feature Team of experts focused on merchant contract management and payment processing within Société Générale’s French Retail Banking IT landscape. Your mission is to ensure the stability, consistency, and evolution of MIC (Monétique Interface Commerçant), the application that manages the full lifecycle of merchant contracts, from subscription and amendment to termination, across proximity, e-commerce, and associated payment services. You will contribute to mastering a complex, highly configurable system where business rules, pricing, and workflows are largely driven by parameterization.

You will work closely with the Software Product Owner, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate complex business needs into robust functional solutions and ensure consistency across a highly parameterized application ecosystem. A key part of the role is ensuring alignment between business needs, functional rules, and technical implementation, while securing delivery through rigorous testing, documentation, and strict adherence to internal processes such as deployment, incident management, and compliance.

How you will make an impact:

·       Act as the functional interface between product stakeholders, business teams, developers, testers, application managers, and external partners involved in the payments ecosystem.

·       Analyze the existing application landscape, understand functional and technical constraints, and help make this complexity accessible to less experienced Business Analysts.

·       Work closely with the Software Product Owner and business representatives to challenge needs and translate them into detailed functional specifications and user stories.

·       Contribute autonomously to project framing, scoping, breakdown, and roadmap construction, while identifying risks and reporting clearly on progress and project issues.

·       Define the functional test strategy, contribute to test cases, test plans, and test data, and coordinate or monitor user acceptance testing activities.

·       Ensure high-quality documentation and strict adherence to internal processes related to deployments, incident management, compliance, audits, and regulatory requests.

·       Support continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, promoting best practices, contributing to chapter initiatives, and bringing functional expertise beyond the immediate team scope.

Profile required

·       Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking, payments, or a complex information system environment.

·       Strong analytical skills, curiosity, and critical thinking, with the ability to challenge requests constructively and ensure functional consistency.

·       Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

·       Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, identify risks, influence decisions, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.

·       Solid understanding of functional and application architecture, ecosystem dependencies, project methodologies, and test strategy definition.

·       Hands-on experience with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Xray, as well as standard office tools.

·       Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

·       Knowledge of merchant payments or related banking products.

·       Experience working across multiple functional domains or within a strongly interconnected application ecosystem.

·       Familiarity with regulatory, audit, or compliance-driven environments in the banking sector.

·       Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, chapter practices, or cross-team knowledge sharing.
