Responsibilities

You will join a Feature Team of experts focused on Risk, Finance and Compliance within Société Générale’s French Retail Banking IT landscape. In this role, you will have functional responsibility for applications supporting default and litigation management. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with the Product Owner / Application Manager and business stakeholders to understand and define needs, then design functional solutions with developers that are consistent with business objectives.

You will work within a multinational team distributed across Romania, France, and India, collaborating with both business and IT stakeholders in an international setup.

How you will make an impact:

·       Contribute to run activities by helping manage incidents, handling support tickets and business requests, and proposing optimization actions to improve service quality on the application perimeter.

·       Work in close collaboration with the Product Owner / Application Manager and business teams to understand needs, challenge requests when needed, break them down into user stories, and ensure the functional consistency of the applications.

·       Take ownership of the functional framing of banking solutions autonomously and produce high-quality functional deliverables within expected timelines.

·       Define the functional test strategy, execute functional testing, and contribute to test plans and test data to secure the quality of deliveries.

·       Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure the application knowledge base remains accurate, structured, and up to date.

·       Report regularly and proactively on activities, identified risks, and remediation proposals to support transparency and effective decision-making.

·       Collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment, bring constructive challenge, adapt to change, and contribute with a proactive and feedback-oriented mindset.

Profile required

·       Curiosity and critical thinking, with the ability to challenge requirements constructively and assess their consistency.

·       Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

·       Strong ability to understand the broader application landscape and quickly learn the functional scope of the applications in scope

·       Technical skills for data extraction and analysis, including SQL, databases, or big data-related concepts.

·       Exposure to application support, incident handling, or run optimization activities.

·       Good understanding of test strategy methodology and experience with collaborative and office tools such as Jira and standard productivity tools.

·       Fluent French is required to ensure autonomy in Interactions with business stakeholders; English is also expected in an international environment.

·       Ability to adapt, propose solutions, collaborate efficiently, and both receive and provide feedback in a constructive way.

Nice to have:

·       Previous experience in a banking environment or on complex information systems with strong functional dependencies.

·       Experience working in an Agile setup with distributed teams across multiple locations.

·       Exposure to Mainframe Technologies.

·       Ability to contribute beyond immediate delivery tasks through documentation quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
