Java Developer
Responsibilities
- Support and develop critical applications.
- Work in a follow-the-sun support / DevOps organization
- Analyze outages and defective states, initiating and monitoring measures to remedy them.
- Configure, test, and rollout in production new infrastructure and application changes via CI/CD.
- Manage APIs, microservices, docker and managed services
- Support the deployment pipeline in regards packaging and deployment, and integration with test automation (i.e., Jenkins).
- Ensure production stability and performance as well as a secure infrastructure environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions.
- Provide timely resolution of functional and technical issues and report incidents to the appropriate chain of command. End users are Sales, Traders, Front, Middle and Back Office
- Troubleshoot functional issues in a complex financial environment, with various applications and architecture regionally and/or globally. Multi-tasking environment.
- Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements and documentation of support run book
- Actively participate in the on-boarding of new applications
- Communicate with users regarding application outages and upcoming events like release, projects etc.
- Liaise with development/support teams in Bangalore, New York, and Paris.
- Understand regulatory environment and constraints.
- Respond to end users within timeframe dictated by the severity of the problem, document and track (case histories, issues, and action steps)
- Respect internal IT norms, standards and processes
- Timely reporting of production and project status to client and IT management
- Partner with the Global support teams (Paris/Asia) to ensure quality support to our end users
Profile required
DIVISION DESCRIPTION:
Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) delivers day-to-day services to Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS) Business Units and their clients. With IT & Operations teams working side by side under the same leadership, the goal of GBTO is to meet the evolving needs of its clients and market requirements, as well as anticipate technological advances to accelerate and support the transformation of GBIS activities. GBTO is at the very heart of this technological and operational challenge.
Technical Skills:
- 1-3 years of development experience in languages like Java, SQL.
- 1-2 years of scripting experience to automate/investigate platform operations: unix, python.
- Experience in operating and maintain continuous deployment/delivery solutions using tools like Jenkins, GIT actions
- ITIL standards knowledge.
- Experience in public cloud platform like AZURE or AWS is added advantage although not mandatory
Desired / Plus:
- Experience in a support role in the financial service industry is preferable.
- Experience working in a global/international financial IT environment.
Educational Requirements:
- University degree in computer science with a background in financial markets industry or similar.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.
